After 1930: new regulations

  • The constitutions issued in 1930 by the Augustinian Order, affecting all the nuns of the Order, introduced some variations and innovations. The outside habit was still black, but the scapular was replaced by long full sleeves reaching to the knees; the domestic habit was white with a white scapular. Another innovative component was the white linen throat-band which wrapped around the entire chest. . . .
